SUBJECT:  TCH – Section II of the eFOTG

Purpose:  To announce updates to Section II – D. Threatened & Endangered Species

Expiration Date:  February 13, 2008

Under Section II – D. Threatened & Endangered Species – ME Species List, two species lists have been added (“State and Federally Listed and Special Concern Species for Maine and Associated Habitats” and “Maine Natural Areas Program Rare, Threatened and Endangered Plant Taxa”).  Also added under ME Species List is a description of Maine Natural Areas Program (MNAP) definitions of terms and a link to species fact sheets (“Explanation of Maine Natural Areas Definitions”).  The lists will help the field to determine a species current status and will help identify suitable habitat and more often than not, whether a species may occur in their county.
