SUBJECT:  TCH – Section IV of the eFOTG

Purpose:  To announce the revision of Conservation Practice Standards, Statements of Work for Contour Farming (Code 330) and Contour Buffer Strips (Code 332), as well as the additions of new Job Sheets.

Expiration Date:  June 1, 2008

The following documents have been revised and posted on eFOTG under Section IV – Conservation Practices: 

                        Contour Farming – (Code 330) – Practice Standard
                        Contour Farming – (Code 330) – Job Sheet
                        Contour Farming – (Code 330) – Statement of Work
                        Contour Buffer Strips – (Code 332) – Practice Standard
                        Contour Buffer Strips – (Code 332) – Job Sheet
                        Contour Buffer Strips – (Code 332) – Statement of Work

Changes of note to Contour Farming (Code 330):

                        Purpose – Added increase in water infiltration
                        Criteria – Row Grade allowances and ridge height minimums

Changes of note to Contour Buffer Strips (Code 332):

                        Purpose – Removed wildlife and added increase in water infiltration.
                        Conditions Where Applies – Includes orchards and vineyards in    
                                addition to cropland.
                        Criteria – Changes in Row Grade allowances.
