SUBJECT: LTP – Steps for Contracting Forestland Plans

Purpose: To transmit instructions and flow charts on forestland planning and contracting using Maine Forest Service Contribution Agreement.

Expiration Date: October 30, 2008

This bulletin provides instructions and flowcharts that will assist field staff in the planning, contracting and implementing of conservation practices in forestland situations using present program rules.

Attached to this bulletin are the following instructions and flowcharts:

1. Forest Technical Assistance Flow Chart
2. Steps for developing a contract from a Forest Management Plan
3. Steps for developing a Conservation Plan from a Forestry Management Plan
4. Steps for Implementing a Contract with Forestry Practices using a TechReg TSP Forester
5. Steps for Implementing a Contract with Forestry Practices using a MFS – TSP Stewardship Forester
6. Steps for Implementing a Contract with Forestry Practices without TA funds and with MFS assistance
