SUBJECT: CPA – Clean up of Customer Service Toolkit (CST)
narratives
Purpose: To provide instruction on clean up of CST practice
narratives that do not meet NRCS policy.
Expiration Date: January 31, 2008
Customer Service Toolkit contains many narratives that do not
meet current policy. NRCS policy requires that all conservation practice
narratives used in conservation plans include a brief description of the
conservation practice and a statement that the practice will follow an Operation
and Maintenance Plan. The narrative should also include a statement that
practices will be designed in accordance with NRCS Standard and Specification
Code xxx. The xxx is the 3-digit code for the Conservation Standard. For
example, the 3-digit code for Prescribed Grazing is 528. The State Office will
be deleting all local narratives that do not meet this policy.
If District Conservationists have local narratives that they
want to keep, these narratives need to be modified to meet this policy by
January 31, 2008. After January 31, 2008 local narratives that do not meet
policy will be removed.
If you have any questions concerning this, contact Jim Johnson,
Resource Conservationist at 207-990-9508 or email jim.johnson@me.usda.gov.
