SUBJECT: CPA – Joint NRCS – Maine Forest Service Planning
Meetings scheduled for October and November, 2007.
Purpose: To relay information pertaining to scheduled joint
meetings of NRCS District Conservationists and Maine Forest Service District
Foresters on forest land planning and delivery of forestry related EQIP
contracts.
Expiration Date: September 30, 2008
All District Conservationists are requested to attend one of
three meetings being held jointly with the Maine Forest Service District
Foresters. Other staff may attend if approved by their supervisor.
The meetings will be held on the following dates from 9:00 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m:
Wednesday, October 31 – Lewiston Field Office
Conference Room
Thursday, November 1 – Bangor State Office Large Conference
Room
Wednesday, November 7 – Presque Isle Field Office Conference
Room
The Maine Forest Service will be providing a complimentary lunch
for each meeting. If you are planning on attending, please RSVP Sally Butler.
The meeting will cover how the Maine Forest Service will be
assisting us with forest land conservation, including assisting with EQIP
applications, reviewing forest management plans, developing conservation plans
and certifying conservation practices. An agenda and set of procedures will be
sent out prior to the meetings to facilitate discussion.
