May 7, 2008 SUBJECT: CPA – Toolkit SP-4 Deployment Plan for NRCS-ME Purpose: To announce the upgrade of computers using Toolkit Expiration Date: September 30, 2008 Action Required by June 30, 2008 Please read the attached Deployment Plan for details and responsibilities of all participants. ITS will upgrade the computers of all Toolkit users with the following software packages: • ArcGIS 9.2 with ESRI SP-4 Toolkit SP4 will have the same “look and feel” as the current version, so comprehensive training is not anticipated. Access to ProTracts and PRS will not be affected. Unforeseen problems will be handled through NetMeeting sessions. ITS will contact District Conservationists individually to schedule upgrades for all computers in the same office in the order specified in the attached plan. NRCS and ITS are investigating the effects of installing additional memory in Toolkit computers, and if found advantageous, memory will be added where needed as part of this upgrade effort.
