American Indian/Alaska Native Emphasis Program

The American Indian/ Alaska Native program is here to promote this groups recognition within USDA. The Special Emphasis Program Manager (SEPM) works with the agency on employment, career enhancement, training, promotion issues, and mentoring for this group. Workforce diversity is a goal for all federal agencies and the SEPM’s role is to work with the Civil Rights committee to perform outreach and help breaking down barriers toward recruitment and retention of Native Americans. As SEPM information is provided to help all agency people understand the people I represent during the month of November which is American Indian Heritage Month.
