Sebasticook Lake Restoration

NRCS Announces National Water Quality Initiative in Maine


Maine NRCS has announced the launch of a new National Water Quality Initiative committed to improving two impaired waterways in Maine.  The Nickerson Lake Sub-watershed in southern Aroostook County and the Sebasticook Lake Watershed in Penobscot County will participate in the 2012 initiative.  Deadline for applications is June 15, 2012.

NRCS in Maine is accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2012 Conservation Innovation Grant funding to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies.  Deadline for applications is 4 p.m. on May 31, 2012.
