Maine NRCS is one of 38 states participating in a new USDA pilot project  to establish high tunnels to increase the availability of locally-grown produce in a conservation-friendly way.  Applications will be accepted at your local USDA Service Center until February 19, 2010.

Forestland

Conservation Activity Plan Opportunities for Producers and Technical Service Providers


Applications for the development of Conservation Activity Plans, funded through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program, will be funded as requests are received and eligibility has been determined, as long as Fiscal Year 2010 funds are available, but no later than June 30, 2010.  Unfunded eligible applications will be available for funding in Fiscal Year 2011. Currently assistance is available for Agricultural Energy, Organic Transition, Forest Management, and Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans
